Tri-fold or bi-fold?
- Tri-fold (A4 folded to DL) makes six panels and fits a DL envelope and a standard brochure rack. It suits menus, service lists, price lists and mail-outs, and is the most common brochure in Australia.
- Bi-fold (A4 folded to A5) makes four larger panels. It suits event programs, property brochures and anything with big photos.
- A3 folded to A4 gives four A4 pages for a capability statement or a product range.

What changes the price
- Quantity. Brochures are printed on an offset press, so the set-up cost is spread over the run. Going from 250 to 1,000 adds far less than four times the cost.
- Size and fold. A3 sheets folded to A4 cost more than A4 sheets folded to DL or A5.
- Stock. 150gsm gloss is our standard. 115gsm gloss is a lighter sheet, available on some sizes; the configurator shows the price of each.
- Designs. Each different brochure is its own print run, so two designs of 250 cost twice the price of 250.
