Terms and Conditions
Terms and conditions for online orders with Down Under Print: ordering, artwork, instant online proofs, payment, delivery and your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Last updated 4 October 2026
Agreement to Terms
By placing an order with Down Under Print, you agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree, do not place an order.
Products and Pricing
We provide the products and specifications shown in our online configurator. No GST is charged: we are not registered for GST, so the price you see is the price you pay (plus delivery where shown). Prices may change from time to time, but the price shown at checkout is the price you pay for that order.
Ordering and Payment
Orders are placed online via our configurator. Payment is processed via Stripe. By placing an order, you authorise the payment. An order is not confirmed until payment is received.
Prices and minimum quantities apply per design (one artwork). Different names or artwork are separate designs, each priced and printed as its own run at the quantity ordered for that design.
Artwork and Copyright
You warrant that artwork you supply is original, or that you have the right to use it. You indemnify Down Under Print against any claim that your artwork infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.
We retain the right to refuse orders involving suspected counterfeit or infringing material.
Proofs and Artwork Approval
Every order includes a free artwork check and instant online proof (manual proof $15). When you upload your artwork, before or after payment, our automatic check runs straight away and the artwork is shown on screen as an instant online proof, with guide lines for the bleed, the trim line and a 5mm safe area. The guide lines are not printed. Colours on screen can look slightly different from print, and minor variations in colour, sharpness or position may occur between the proof and the final print due to production tolerances.
If you approve the instant online proof by ticking "I've checked my proof. Print it exactly as shown." and continuing, your artwork is approved and goes to print exactly as shown in that proof. You are responsible for the content of the approved artwork, including spelling, names, phone numbers, email and web addresses, images and layout. We record the files you approved, the result of the automatic check and the time of your approval. A file that fails the automatic check, or that cannot be shown on screen, cannot be self-approved: you can upload a fixed file, add the artwork fix, or choose a manual proof.
If you choose the manual proof option ($15 per design), a person checks your file and we send you a proof to review. You must approve it or request changes. Your approval confirms that the artwork is correct and ready to print, and nothing prints until you approve.
Dispatch and Delivery
Dispatch times are estimates and are shown on each product page and at checkout. Dispatch is counted in business days from the day your artwork is approved: the day you approve your instant online proof, or the day you approve the manual proof we send you. Delivery times after dispatch are estimates and depend on your location and the courier. We take reasonable care to meet our estimates, but they are not guarantees.
Delivery is free on print products. Wide format items (posters, corflute signs, A-frame signs, foamboard and PVC signs, PVC banners and pull-up banners) have a delivery charge priced by size, quantity and delivery postcode, based on real courier rates. Remote and regional areas cost more. The exact cost is shown in your cart once you enter a postcode, and at checkout before you pay. Nothing is added after payment. See our delivery page for current figures.
We ship Australia-wide by courier. If your parcel arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the parcel and the goods. We will lodge a claim with the courier and pass on the outcome. Outcomes of courier claims are decided by the courier.
Custom-Printed Goods
Under Australian Consumer Law, custom-printed goods cannot be refunded or exchanged after production has begun, unless the goods are faulty. This is because custom printing is made to order and has no resale value.
Once your artwork is approved (by approving your instant online proof or a manual proof) and production begins, you cannot cancel or change your order.
Refunds and Faulty Goods
If your order is faulty or does not match your approved proof because of an error on our part, contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos. We will reprint it at no charge or refund you.
For other issues, see our refund policy.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Down Under Print is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the price you paid for the order. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Changes to Terms
We may change these terms at any time. Changes apply to new orders from the date of publication. Continuing to use our service after changes constitutes acceptance.
Disputes
If you have a dispute, contact info@downunderprint.com in the first instance.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under Australian Consumer Law. If the goods are faulty, you may be entitled to a refund or replacement regardless of these terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
