ACM (Aluminium Composite) Signs for Perth businesses
Perth's industrial yards, resource-sector depots and outdoor shopfronts put signs under strong sun for most of the year, and ACM (aluminium composite material) is built for it. It is a flat, rigid, weatherproof panel that does not warp, rot or absorb water, and it takes a full-colour print on one side. We print 3mm ACM in nine sizes, from 300 x 450mm to 900 x 1200mm, including A2, A1 and A0, plus 1200 x 1800mm and 1200 x 2400mm panels. Prices start at $137 for 1 (600 x 900mm, 3mm ACM aluminium composite, single sided) with gloss laminate, and unlaminated starts at $266 for 1 (600 x 900mm, 3mm ACM aluminium composite, single sided), so compare both for your size.
Use ACM for the signs that stay: entry and safety signs at a depot or yard, site boards, business names on a gate, and directional signs on a lot. Colours still fade slowly in strong sun, as on any printed sign, so gloss laminate, which adds UV and scratch protection, is worth considering from A2 up to 900 x 1200mm. For a temporary sign, corflute is lighter and lower priced. Perth is a longer freight run from where we print and ACM is heavy, so order early and check the delivery estimate and the price in your basket. See the artwork checklist before you upload.
Who orders ACM (Aluminium Composite) Signs in Perth
Mining and resources service firms order safety, entry and site signs for yards and depots. Construction and civil contractors use project boards. Real estate developers and shopfronts use permanent business and estate signs, and industrial operators in the suburbs order wayfinding for sites.
Perth events & seasonal calendar
- Dry season and building season (spring to autumn): sites open and need project boards
- End of financial year (June): businesses refresh signage and fit-out
- Summer heat (December to February): UV protection matters most on exposed signs
- Project starts through the year: new site and safety signs for contractors
Local signage rules
Permanent signs on buildings or private land can need local government approval or consent from the owner, depending on size, position and lighting. Site and safety signs may also need to meet the requirements of the principal contractor or site operator. Check with the local government and the owner before you fix a permanent sign.
Perth FAQs
Will an ACM sign cope with Perth sun?
ACM stays flat and does not warp, but the printed face still fades slowly in strong direct sun. Gloss laminate adds some UV protection and is offered from A2 up to 900 x 1200mm.
Can I use ACM for safety and entry signs at a depot?
It suits them, because it is rigid and weatherproof. Your site operator may specify the wording, sizes and colours, so check their requirements before you design.
How long will an ACM sign take to reach Perth?
Dispatch is 3 to 7 business days after artwork approval, and the delivery estimate for Perth is longer than for the east-coast capitals. Allow extra time, especially for the 1200mm panels, which travel as oversize freight.
Which is better for outdoors, ACM or corflute?
ACM lasts for years and does not warp. Corflute is lighter and lower priced for short-term use.
How much are ACM signs in Perth, and is GST added?
Prices start at $137 for 1 (600 x 900mm, 3mm ACM aluminium composite, single sided) with gloss laminate. Unlaminated starts at $266 for 1 (600 x 900mm, 3mm ACM aluminium composite, single sided), so compare both for the size you need, because the laminated sizes are priced lower at the moment. A 1200 x 1800mm panel starts at $343 for 1 (1200 x 1800mm, 3mm ACM aluminium composite, single sided). The price shown is the total you pay: we are not registered for GST, so none is added.
How long do ACM signs take to reach Perth?
Dispatch is 3 to 7 business days after your artwork is approved, then delivery to Perth is estimated in the delivery box on this page. ACM is heavy, so delivery is priced by the size and weight of your order and your postcode, and the two 1200mm-wide panels travel as oversize freight. The delivery price is shown in your basket once you enter your postcode, before you pay.
