ACM (aluminium composite material) is two thin aluminium skins bonded to a solid core. The result is a flat, rigid, weatherproof panel that does not warp, rot or fade quickly, which is why it is used for permanent shopfront signs, building and business name signs, directional signage, real estate signs and anywhere a sign must last for years. We print 3mm ACM panels in nine sizes, from 300 x 450mm up to 900 x 1200mm, including A2, A1 and A0, and in large 1200 x 1800mm and 1200 x 2400mm panels. Your design is printed directly onto the panel in full colour, single sided. Gloss laminate (extra scratch and UV protection) is offered on the sizes from A2 up to 900 x 1200mm; 300 x 450mm and the two 1200mm-wide panels are printed without laminate. ACM is heavier than corflute or PVC, so delivery is priced by the size and weight of your order. You can order a single sign. A free artwork check is included, with an instant online proof (manual proof $15).

ACM sign artwork is the panel size plus 5mm bleed on all edges, so a 600 x 900mm sign needs a 610 x 910mm file. Keep text and logos at least 10mm inside the trim edge, and allow extra room where you plan to drill fixing holes. Supply a single-page PDF in CMYK with fonts outlined or embedded; 100 to 150 dpi at full size is fine for signs read from a metre or more away. We check every file free before printing.

ACM stands for aluminium composite material, sometimes sold as Dibond or Alucobond. It is a sandwich of two aluminium sheets around a polyethylene core, which makes it rigid, flat and weatherproof.
What sizes do ACM signs come in?
Nine sizes: 300 x 450mm, 450 x 600mm, A2 (420 x 594mm), A1 (594 x 841mm), 600 x 900mm, A0 (841 x 1189mm), 900 x 1200mm, 1200 x 1800mm and 1200 x 2400mm. The two 1200mm-wide panels are large and are priced and delivered as oversize freight, so the configurator shows delivery for your postcode before you pay.
Is ACM better than corflute or PVC for outdoor signs?
For long-term outdoor use, yes. ACM does not warp, absorb water or yellow, and typically holds its finish for years, depending on exposure. Corflute is lighter and lower priced for short-term signs, foam PVC suits sheltered outdoor use, and polypropylene is a thin waterproof sheet for temporary signs.
How long does an ACM sign last outdoors?
Typically several years, depending on sun, coastal salt air and how it is mounted. Gloss laminate adds some UV and scratch protection on the sizes where it is offered. Printed colours still fade slowly in strong direct sun, as they do on any printed sign.
Should I choose the gloss laminate?
Gloss laminate adds scratch resistance and some UV protection, and makes colours look richer. Choose it for signs in direct sun or where people may touch the surface. It is offered from A2 up to 900 x 1200mm. The configurator shows the price of each finish, and at the moment the laminated sizes are priced lower than the same size unlaminated, so compare both before you decide.
Why can a small ACM sign cost more than a bigger one?
Each size and finish is priced separately. An unlaminated 300 x 450mm panel can cost more than a laminated 600 x 900mm panel, because the laminated sizes are priced lower. If you only need a small sign, check the next size up with laminate in the configurator.
Can I print on both sides of an ACM sign?
No. ACM signs are printed on one side only. The back is bare aluminium. For a two-sided sign, look at our polypropylene, KAPAplast or corflute signs.
How do I fix an ACM sign to a wall or post?
Drill holes in the corners and fix with screws and caps, or mount on standoffs, or glue it to a flat surface with a construction adhesive. Allow for the extra weight compared with plastic boards, especially on the 1200mm-wide panels.
How much do ACM signs cost?

How should I set up my ACM sign artwork?
Make the file the finished size plus 5mm bleed on every edge, keep text and logos inside the safe area, and supply a PDF in CMYK with fonts outlined or embedded. We check every file free before printing.
How long will my ACM signs take to arrive?
ACM signs are dispatched 3 to 7 business days after your artwork is approved. After dispatch, delivery typically takes 1 to 8 business days depending on where you are, for example 1 to 3 to Melbourne, 1 to 4 to Sydney, 2 to 4 to Brisbane and 3 to 6 to Perth. What if there is a problem with my ACM signs?
If we make a print error, or your order does not match your approved proof, report it within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos and we will reprint or refund. If the parcel is damaged in transit, contact us within 7 days with photos of the parcel and the goods; we lodge a claim with the courier and pass on the outcome.

Delivery
We deliver Australia-wide by courier to homes and businesses. Delivery is free on print products, and wide format items have a delivery charge priced by size, quantity and postcode.
Print products (business cards, flyers, postcards, letterheads, compliment slips, brochures, presentation folders, stickers and magnetic fridge calendars) are delivered free. There is no minimum spend.
Wide format products (posters, corflute signs, A-frame signs, foamboard and PVC signs, PVC banners, pull-up banners) have delivery priced by size, quantity and delivery postcode, based on real courier rates, from $17. Several signs or banners going to one address are packed and priced together as one delivery. Remote and regional areas cost more because courier rates are higher there. The exact cost is shown in your basket once you enter a postcode, and at checkout before you pay. Nothing is added after payment.
Dispatch is shown on each product page. It is counted in business days from the day you approve your instant on-screen proof (or the manual proof we send, if you chose one): 4 business days for print products, 7 for magnetic fridge calendars, 3 for posters, A-frame and foamboard signs, and 2 to 3 for corflute signs, PVC banners, pull-up banners and PVC signs.
Delivery after dispatch typically takes 1 to 8 business days depending on your postcode, for example 1 to 3 to Melbourne, 1 to 4 to Sydney, 2 to 4 to Brisbane and 3 to 6 to Perth. These are estimates, and couriers set the final delivery time.

Artwork Help
What is bleed? Bleed is extra space around your design (3mm for print products, posters, corflute signs, A-frame signs and PVC banners, or 5mm for double-sided corflute, foamboard and PVC signs; pull-up banners need no extra bleed) to allow for slight trimming during production. Without bleed, colour or content may be cut off. Always include bleed in your artwork file.
What is CMYK? CMYK is the colour mode used in printing (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black). Design files in RGB (screen colour) may print differently. Convert your design to CMYK before uploading.
What resolution do I need? Print artwork should be 300 dpi at final size. Wide-format items (posters, banners) can use 100–150 dpi because they are viewed from a distance. Low resolution may result in blurry or pixelated output.
Free artwork check included. Our automatic check looks at your file's size and bleed, colour mode, resolution and fonts as soon as you upload it, and shows the result straight away.
Paid artwork add-ons are available:

- Design it for me. Our designer creates your artwork from a brief or rough sketch for $150 per design, or makes a simple edit to your existing artwork for $60.

Reordering is easy. After your first order, use your unique reorder link to place the same design again without setup costs. Reorder links are emailed to you after your order is confirmed.
Multiple designs. Prices and minimum quantities are per design, and each design is priced for its own quantity. Quantities are not combined across designs. For example, 200 business cards for 2 staff members is 2 designs, and 350gsm double-sided business cards with no laminate start at 25 per design, so that is 2 x 100 (many other cards start at 100, and cards laminated on both sides on 350gsm at 250 per design). For many small runs, request a quote.
Multiple quantities. Order in bulk on the product page by increasing the quantity. Pricing typically scales down at higher volumes. See live pricing as you adjust quantity.
Ongoing or frequent orders. If you order the same design regularly, your reorder link stays active. Place a new order at any time. Each reorder is dispatched in the product's usual number of business days after you approve it.
Custom quotes for large volumes. For very large bulk orders, ongoing supply arrangements, or custom requirements, request a quote:
