In short
Feather flags have a pointed blade shape, teardrop flags have a rounded top, and rectangle flags are square-cornered and show the most print area.
Feather flags
A feather (or swooper) flag is a tall, narrow flag with a curved leading edge that flutters in the wind. The shape is eye-catching from a distance. Because the edge curves, some of the design near the pole and the top is lost, so keep your message in the middle section.
Teardrop flags
A teardrop flag has a rounded, drop-shaped top. The shape holds well in light wind and keeps the design readable, and it is popular for shopfronts, car yards and events.
Rectangle flags
A rectangle flag keeps its full rectangular shape. It shows the whole design with no curved edge cut away, so it suits logos with a border, longer text and detailed artwork.
Choosing a size and fabric
All three styles come in small, medium and large heights (2.1m to 4.8m overall). Lightweight fabric suits most uses and double-sided flags, and silverback fabric blocks the print showing through on single-sided flags. Flags are sold flag only, or with a pole, ground spike and carry bag.
Using flags safely
Take flags down in strong wind. The set includes a ground spike for soft ground. On hard surfaces such as concrete you will need a base of your own.
