Feather flags (also called swooper or flutter flags) are tall, narrow flags that move in the wind and are seen from a long way off. They are the usual choice to mark an open home, a shop entrance, a market stall or a sporting event. The curved edge catches the eye, and the flag packs into a carry bag. We print three heights: small (2400mm), medium (3450mm) and large (4700mm). Choose lightweight fabric, which suits most uses, or silverback fabric, which blocks the print showing through on single-sided flags. Order the flag only if you already have a pole, or add the pole, ground spike and carry bag. Print one side or both. Delivery is priced by size and quantity. A free artwork check is included, with an instant online proof (manual proof $15).

Feather flag artwork is supplied at the finished size for the flag you choose. The flag curves at the top, so keep text and logos away from the curved edge and at least 100mm inside the edge nearest the pole. Place the key message in the middle third of the flag, where it flies flat. For two-sided flags supply two pages, front then back; on a single-sided flag the back shows the design reversed. Use CMYK with fonts outlined or embedded. We check every file free before printing.

A tall, narrow flag shaped like a feather or blade, attached along its straight edge to a flexible pole. Also called swooper, bowflag or flutter flags.
What comes in the complete set?
With pole, spike and bag you get the printed flag, the pole, a ground spike and a carry bag. Flag only is the print on its own.
Should I choose lightweight or silverback fabric?
Lightweight is the lowest-priced and suits double-sided flags and most uses. Silverback has a blocking layer so the design does not show through, which looks better on single-sided flags.
How do I fix the flag in the ground?
Push the spike into soft ground. Hard surfaces such as concrete or pavers need a cross base or water bag, which are not part of our range, so check your site before you order. Take flags down in strong wind.
Feather, teardrop or rectangle flag: which should I choose?
Feather flags are the classic blade shape and wave strongly, which catches the eye from a distance. Teardrop flags hold a rounder shape. Rectangle flags show the most of your design. For a logo with a lot of text, choose rectangle; for movement and visibility from the road, choose feather.
Can feather flags be used outdoors in wind?
Yes, they are made for it. The flexible pole bends and the fabric is light. Fix the pole firmly, and take the flag down in strong wind or storms. Colours typically fade over several months of sun, depending on exposure.
Can I print different designs on each side?
Yes, with double-sided printing. Supply a two-page PDF, front then back. A single-sided flag shows the design reversed on the back.

What is the minimum order for feather flags?
The smallest order is 1. Some options start at a higher quantity; the configurator shows the available quantities for the option you choose.
How should I set up my feather flag artwork?
Supply a single-page PDF in CMYK at the finished size, with fonts outlined or embedded. The online proof shows the trim and safe area for the exact size you order, and we check every file free before printing.
How long will my feather flags take to arrive?

What if there is a problem with my feather flags?
If we make a print error, or your order does not match your approved proof, report it within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos and we will reprint or refund. If the parcel is damaged in transit, contact us within 7 days with photos of the parcel and the goods; we lodge a claim with the courier and pass on the outcome.

Upload your artwork. In your basket, upload a PDF, JPG or PNG for each design (front and back of the same piece count as one design). We accept CMYK files with fonts outlined or embedded and the bleed shown in the artwork set-up for your product (3mm for most products, 5mm for double-sided corflute, and no extra bleed for pull-up banners), at 300 dpi for print products. Delivery
We deliver Australia-wide by courier to homes and businesses. Delivery is free on print products, and wide format items have a delivery charge priced by size, quantity and postcode.
Print products (business cards, flyers, postcards, letterheads, compliment slips, brochures, presentation folders, stickers and magnetic fridge calendars) are delivered free. There is no minimum spend.
Wide format products (posters, corflute signs, A-frame signs, foamboard and PVC signs, PVC banners, pull-up banners) have delivery priced by size, quantity and delivery postcode, based on real courier rates, from $17. Several signs or banners going to one address are packed and priced together as one delivery. Remote and regional areas cost more because courier rates are higher there. The exact cost is shown in your basket once you enter a postcode, and at checkout before you pay. Nothing is added after payment.
Dispatch is shown on each product page. It is counted in business days from the day you approve your instant on-screen proof (or the manual proof we send, if you chose one): 4 business days for print products, 7 for magnetic fridge calendars, 3 for posters, A-frame and foamboard signs, and 2 to 3 for corflute signs, PVC banners, pull-up banners and PVC signs.
Delivery after dispatch typically takes 1 to 8 business days depending on your postcode, for example 1 to 3 to Melbourne, 1 to 4 to Sydney, 2 to 4 to Brisbane and 3 to 6 to Perth. These are estimates, and couriers set the final delivery time.

Artwork Help
What is bleed? Bleed is extra space around your design (3mm for print products, posters, corflute signs, A-frame signs and PVC banners, or 5mm for double-sided corflute, foamboard and PVC signs; pull-up banners need no extra bleed) to allow for slight trimming during production. Without bleed, colour or content may be cut off. Always include bleed in your artwork file.
What is CMYK? CMYK is the colour mode used in printing (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black). Design files in RGB (screen colour) may print differently. Convert your design to CMYK before uploading.
What resolution do I need? Print artwork should be 300 dpi at final size. Wide-format items (posters, banners) can use 100–150 dpi because they are viewed from a distance. Low resolution may result in blurry or pixelated output.
Free artwork check included. Our automatic check looks at your file's size and bleed, colour mode, resolution and fonts as soon as you upload it, and shows the result straight away.
Paid artwork add-ons are available:
- Artwork check and fix. We correct bleed, colour, resolution or font issues for $25 per design.
- Design it for me. Our designer creates your artwork from a brief or rough sketch for $150 per design, or makes a simple edit to your existing artwork for $60.

Reordering is easy. After your first order, use your unique reorder link to place the same design again without setup costs. Reorder links are emailed to you after your order is confirmed.
Multiple designs. Prices and minimum quantities are per design, and each design is priced for its own quantity. Quantities are not combined across designs. For example, 200 business cards for 2 staff members is 2 designs, and 350gsm double-sided business cards with no laminate start at 25 per design, so that is 2 x 100 (many other cards start at 100, and cards laminated on both sides on 350gsm at 250 per design). For many small runs, request a quote.
Multiple quantities. Order in bulk on the product page by increasing the quantity. Pricing typically scales down at higher volumes. See live pricing as you adjust quantity.
Ongoing or frequent orders. If you order the same design regularly, your reorder link stays active. Place a new order at any time. Each reorder is dispatched in the product's usual number of business days after you approve it.
Custom quotes for large volumes. For very large bulk orders, ongoing supply arrangements, or custom requirements, request a quote:
