For a market stall you need a gazebo with weights, a table, signage people can read from the end of the row, a way to take card payments, packaging and a float, plus the stall fee and usually public liability insurance. The signage is the part we print: a 2 x 1m PVC banner is $85, an A1 corflute A-frame is $88 and an 850 x 2000mm pull-up banner is $121. All three together are our Market Stall Kit, $379 delivered to Brisbane 4000.
Our prices on this page come live from our price engine. We are not registered for GST, so no GST is charged: the price shown is the total you pay. Stall fees, gazebos and insurance vary by market and are not ours to quote, so check them with your market organiser.
The market stall checklist
Book and plan
- Apply to the market and ask about the stall size (3 x 3m is common), the fee, power, setup times and whether they need public liability insurance or a food licence.
- Ask what the market allows for signs: some limit A-frames in walkways or banners on shared fences.
- Decide your one message: what you sell, in a few words, readable from 10 metres.
Set up the stall
- A 3 x 3m gazebo and at least 10kg of weight on each leg. An unweighted gazebo can lift in a gust and injure someone.
- A trestle table and a cloth that reaches the ground, to hide stock and boxes.
- Crates or risers so products sit at different heights.
Signage
- A banner across the front of the table or the back of the gazebo with your name and what you sell.
- A pull-up banner at the front corner, so your name shows above the heads of other shoppers.
- An A-frame a step into the walkway with prices, a special or "Tastings today".
- Price tags or a price board on the table: people walk past stalls without prices.
Selling
- A card reader charged the night before, plus a float of coins and small notes.
- Bags, boxes and labels. Stickers with your name and website on every bag help customers find you after the market.
- Business cards for people who want to order later.
On the day
- Arrive at the start of bump-in, gazebo up first, weights on, then the table and signs.
- Water, a hat, sunscreen and a chair.
- A notebook for what sold and what people asked for.

The pack saves $26 on buying the items one at a time. Every item can be changed on the Market Stall Kit page before you add it to your basket.
The kit opens on the setup above, and every item can be changed: a 3m banner for the full width of a gazebo is $117, and you can tick business cards and stickers into the kit. Delivered to Melbourne 3000, a 2 x 1m banner on its own is $102.
Sizing the banner
A 3 x 3m gazebo is three metres across the front, and a standard trestle table is about 1.8m long. A 2 x 1m banner suits the table front or the back wall of the gazebo; a 3 x 1m banner spans the full gazebo front. Our PVC banners have eyelets every 500mm on all sides, so they tie to the gazebo frame with cable ties or bungee cords and come down in a minute.
Pull-up or PVC banner?
A pull-up banner stands on its own, sets up in under a minute and puts your name at eye height, but it is made for still air and sheltered spots. A PVC banner ties down and handles wind and rain. Most stalls use both: the PVC banner on the gazebo, the pull-up at the front corner on calm days. See pull-up banner or PVC banner.
Packaging labels
Round stickers on bags, jars and boxes do two jobs: they make the product look finished and they carry your name home. 500 round 50mm stickers on waterproof white synthetic are $169; see stickers for every size and material.
When to order
After you approve your artwork, the PVC banner is dispatched in 2 to 30 business days, the pull-up banner in 2 to 6 and the A-frame in 3 to 5, then delivered by courier to your postcode. Order two weeks before your first market, so you have time to check the proof and set the stall up at home once before the day.
