Vinyl banners are the quickest way to put a large, weatherproof message outdoors: on a shopfront, a balcony rail, a stage, a fence or the side of a marquee. Ours are printed in full colour on one side of PVC vinyl, with metal eyelets around every edge at about 500mm spacing, ready to tie or screw up the day they arrive. This page starts at 2000 x 1000mm, the all-rounder for outdoor banner printing: wide enough to read from across a car park, yet compact enough to hang across a shop window. Square 1 x 1m banners suit columns, and widths up to 6m cover long frontages. About this 2000 x 1000mm Vinyl Banner spec
Supply a print-ready PDF in CMYK at the trim size plus 3mm bleed per edge, so a 2000 x 1000mm banner is set up at 2006 x 1006mm. Banners are viewed from a distance, so 100 to 150 dpi at full size is enough; a 300 dpi file is fine but not needed. Outline or embed all fonts. Hold text, logos and QR codes at least 45mm inside every edge, clear of the eyelet line. Printing is single sided only, so the reverse is left unprinted.

Why does a 1 x 1m PVC banner cost the same as a 2 x 1m one?
One banner costs $85 whether it is 2 x 1m or 1 x 1m, so for a single banner the larger size costs no more. A single banner is priced to cover the set-up and handling every order needs, whatever its size.

Are vinyl banners and PVC banners the same thing?
Yes. Vinyl banner is the everyday name and PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is the material. Both describe a flexible, water-resistant sheet printed in full colour and finished with eyelets. Ours are solid rather than mesh and are made for outdoor use, though they work just as well indoors.
How long will an outdoor vinyl banner last?
Expect anywhere from several months to a couple of years. The biggest factors are sun, wind and salt: a banner on an exposed, north-facing wall near the coast ages faster than one under an awning. Fixing every eyelet so the banner cannot flap is the simplest way to stretch its life.
What size vinyl banner do I need?
Measure the space and the distance to your audience. A 1 x 1m banner suits a pole, column or doorway; 2 x 1m is the common choice for shopfronts and fences; 3 to 4m wide suits stages and building fronts; 5 to 6m wide suits long frontages and sports grounds. Every size is 1m high, so the width sets the scale.
How do I hang a vinyl banner outdoors?
Use the eyelets. Cable ties suit fences and rails, rope or bungee cords suit posts and marquee frames, and screws with washers suit timber or masonry walls. Fix every eyelet, not just the corners, and pull the banner taut. Solid vinyl catches wind, so on very exposed rooftops or coastal fences choose a smaller size; we do not print mesh.
Can I get a double-sided vinyl banner?
Not at the moment; our vinyl banners are printed on one side only. If a message needs to be read from both directions, such as across a footbridge or between two poles, hang two banners back to back, or use a double-sided corflute sign if a smaller size will do.
How fast will my banner arrive?
Production starts when you approve the proof, and banners are dispatched 2 to 3 business days later. Courier transit is typically 1 to 4 business days to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra, and 3 to 6 to Perth.
