Postcards for Churches & Faith Communities
A small card does a lot of work in a church or faith community. A welcome card collects a visitor's details. A prayer card goes home in a pocket. An invitation card is the easiest way for members to invite a friend to Christmas or Easter. Ours are postcards in A6 (105 x 148mm) or DL (99 x 210mm) on 350gsm artboard, printed on one or both sides, from 25 cards.
A typical order: 250 A6 invitation cards for Christmas, with the service times on the back, handed out by members over the four weeks of Advent. A DL card suits a prayer card with a longer prayer or a bookmark-style reading plan. Choose single sided if the back will be written on, and leave the finish as none so a pen writes cleanly. Dispatch is 4 to 6 business days after your artwork is approved, then free delivery. See the postcard marketing guide.
Worked example. A parish orders 500 A6 Christmas invitation cards in early November. The front has a simple nativity image and the words Christmas at St Mark's. The back lists the carols night, the children's service, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Each family takes ten cards after Mass to give to neighbours, and the rest go into the community centre and the local cafe. In February the parish reuses the design with Easter times.
Welcome and connection cards. Put a card in each seat or in the welcome pack, with space for a name, phone, email and a tick box for groups or a prayer request. Keep the boxes large enough for handwriting. Collect the cards in the offering or at a welcome desk. If you store the details, follow your privacy policy and let people know how you will contact them.

Design tips
Put the date, time and address of each service in one clear block. Use a strong image or a single word on the front so the card is recognised at a glance. Keep text at least 5mm inside the trim. For cards people write on, leave generous lines and keep the back plain, with dark text on a light background. Check spellings of names and places, and ask a second person to read the proof.

Postcards for Churches & Faith Communities: FAQs
What is the minimum order?
25 cards per design for A6 and DL on 350gsm artboard.
Can people write on the cards?
Yes. Choose no laminate so a pen writes cleanly, and keep the writing side light in colour.
Which size suits an invitation card?
A6 is the usual invitation size and fits in a pocket or a letterbox. DL gives more room for several service times.
When should we order Christmas invitation cards?
Early to mid November, so members can hand them out from the start of Advent. The table on this page shows the latest dates.
Do postcards get the community rate?
Yes. Verified churches, charities, clubs, schools and P&Cs get 5% off postcards, flyers and business cards, applied automatically once the organisation is verified.
