Pull-Up Banners for Churches & Faith Communities
A pull-up banner turns a plain foyer into a welcoming entrance. It points visitors to the kids program, marks the welcome desk and tells people where the cuppa is after the service. It also rolls down into its base, and one person can carry it to a school fete, a community day or a conference. Ours are printed banners on a retractable stand that rolls up into its base, in widths from 600mm to 2400mm, most 2000mm tall, from one banner.
A typical order: one 850mm banner for the welcome desk with the church name, a short welcome line and the website, and a second for the kids or youth area. A wider 1200mm banner suits a stage backdrop or the front of a hall. Pull-up banners are made for indoor and sheltered use, so for a fence or an open lawn choose a PVC banner with eyelets. Dispatch is 2 to 6 business days after your artwork is approved, plus delivery priced by postcode. See our pull-up versus PVC banner guide.
Worked example. A community church meeting in a school hall sets up every Sunday morning. It orders two 850mm pull-up banners: one at the hall door with the church name and a welcome, and one at the kids check-in desk. Volunteers roll them down into their bases after the service and store them in the school cupboard. At Christmas the church adds a third banner with the carols night date, used at the local shopping centre stall in December.
Setting up and storing. Stand the banner on a flat floor away from doorways where wind can catch it. Pull the graphic up slowly and hook it onto the top rail. To pack away, unhook it and let it roll down under control, so the graphic does not snap into the base. Store it indoors and out of hot cars between uses.
How Churches & Faith Communities uses Pull-Up Banners
Welcome and entrance banners
The church name, a welcome line and the website at the door or in the foyer.
Kids and youth areas
Mark check-in desks and rooms for children's and youth programs.
Community stalls and events
Take a banner to fetes, school events, markets and Christmas stalls.
Portable church set-up
For communities that meet in a school or hall, banners make a hired space feel like home each week.
Design tips
Put the main message in the top half, at eye level. Keep it to a name, one line and a website, readable from five metres away. Avoid putting text in the bottom 200mm, which sits behind the base and is hard to see. Use high-contrast colours and a large photo rather than lots of small ones. Supply a PDF at the exact size with 3mm bleed.

Pull-Up Banners for Churches & Faith Communities: FAQs
Which size suits a church foyer?
850 x 2000mm is the usual size for a foyer or welcome desk. 1200mm wide suits a stage or the front of a hall.
Can a pull-up banner go outside?
Only in a sheltered spot on a calm day. For fences and open ground choose a PVC banner with eyelets.
How long does it take to set up?
A minute or two. Stand the base on the floor, pull the graphic up and hook it onto the top rail.
Can we change the graphic later?
Ordering a new banner with its own stand is the simplest way, and keeps the old one for another room or event.
Do pull-up banners get the community rate?
The community rate covers corflute signs, A-frame signs, PVC banners and PVC signs, plus business cards, flyers and postcards. Pull-up banners are already at our lowest price, so there is no further discount on them.
