Corflute Signs, 600 x 900mm For Sale Sign
For sale signs have one job: tell someone driving or walking past what is for sale and how to reach you before they are gone. We print them on 3mm corflute, a light, waterproof corrugated plastic, from a single sign, so they suit a private seller with one car, boat, caravan or house as well as an agent ordering a stock of boards. This page opens at 600 x 900mm, the size most people picture for a property board. The smaller 450 x 600mm suits vehicle, trailer and garage sale signs, and 900 x 1200mm stands out on corner blocks and busy roads. Every sign has eyelets in all four corners and can be portrait or landscape, single or double sided. Signs are dispatched 2 to 3 business days, depending on quantity, after you approve the artwork, and delivery is priced by postcode in the basket.
About this 600 x 900mm For Sale Sign spec
Pick double sided when the sign stands at right angles to the road, so traffic from both directions sees a printed face; a sign fixed flat against a fence or window only needs one side. Set artwork up as a CMYK PDF at the finished size plus 3mm bleed for single sided or 5mm for double sided, at 100 to 150 dpi, or 300 dpi for fine detail. Keep the 45mm corner areas clear for the eyelets, and make the phone number about as large as the words FOR SALE.
Common uses
- Private house and land sales
- Cars, utes and motorbikes sold privately
- Boats, trailers, caravans and camper trailers
- Agent for sale, for lease and sold boards
- Garage sales and moving-out sales, with arrow signs to the address
- Farm machinery, livestock and hay sales at the gate

600 x 900mm For Sale Sign FAQs
What size for sale sign should I get?
For a house on a normal suburban street, 600 x 900mm is the familiar choice. Use 900 x 1200mm for corner blocks, acreage or main roads where people pass at speed. For a car, boat or caravan, 450 x 600mm is easier to fix in place and still reads from across a car park.
Should my for sale sign be single or double sided?
Double sided is worth it when the sign stands on stakes or a post facing along the street, because drivers coming each way see a printed face. If it is fixed flat to a fence, wall, gate or inside a window, single sided is enough, since only one face is ever visible.
How do I put up a corflute for sale sign?
The four corner eyelets take cable ties, rope or screws. Cable-tie the sign to a fence, gate or balcony rail; screw it to a timber post or frame; or tie it to a pair of stakes driven into the lawn. We print the sign only, so stakes and frames are bought separately, for example from a hardware store.
What should I write on a for sale sign?
Keep it short enough to take in at a glance: FOR SALE, a phone number in large digits, and two or three facts that make people call, such as price, year, kilometres or bedrooms. Add a QR code linking to the listing if people will walk up to it. Long descriptions belong in the online ad.
How far away can people read a for sale sign?
For an easy read at a glance, allow roughly 25mm of letter height for every 3 metres of reading distance. The often-quoted 25mm per 10 metres is the furthest a letter can just be made out, not a comfortable read. On a 600 x 900mm sign, FOR SALE in 150mm-high letters reads from around 18 metres, and phone digits about 80mm high read from roughly 10 metres. Bold, plain fonts in dark on light, or white on a strong colour, read best.
How long will a corflute for sale sign last outside?
Corflute is waterproof and weather resistant. In full sun, expect several months to a year or so before the colours noticeably fade, and a sheltered position extends that. Wind is the bigger day-to-day risk, so fix the sign through all four eyelets rather than one or two.
