ACM (Aluminium Composite) Signs for Darwin businesses
In the Top End a permanent sign must handle year-round UV, wet-season downpours, constant humidity and the occasional cyclone. ACM (aluminium composite material) is a sensible base: an aluminium face and back bonded to a solid core, so the panel stays flat, does not swell in damp air and will not rot. We print 3mm ACM single sided in full colour, in nine sizes, from 300 x 450mm, 450 x 600mm, A2, A1, 600 x 900mm, A0 and 900 x 1200mm, up to 1200 x 1800mm and 1200 x 2400mm. Panels with gloss laminate start at $137 for 1 (600 x 900mm, 3mm ACM aluminium composite, single sided), and without at $161 for 1 (600 x 900mm, 3mm ACM aluminium composite, single sided, no finish).

Gloss laminate, offered from A2 to 900 x 1200mm, adds UV and scratch protection, which is worth it under Darwin's sun. Fixing matters as much as the panel: in a cyclone region, a large sign should be mounted with fixings that suit its size and exposure, so ask a licensed installer if in doubt. ACM is heavy, Darwin is our longest freight run and the two 1200mm-wide panels travel as oversize freight, so order early.
