Feather Flags for Sunshine Coast businesses

On the Sunshine Coast, feather flags are a weekend fixture: lining the street outside open homes in Buderim, Sippy Downs and the new estates around Baringa and Palmview, marking surf club carnivals and fun runs along the beachfront, and flagging stalls at markets and fetes. Shops and cafes on main roads in Maroochydore, Kawana and Nambour use them to catch drivers on the move. We print three heights, small (2400mm), medium (3450mm) and large (4700mm), on lightweight or silverback fabric, single or double sided. A complete small set with pole, spike and carry bag starts at $172 for 1 (2.4m Small, lightweight fabric, single sided, flag, pole, spike and bag); the medium set starts at $210 for 1 (3.45m Medium, lightweight fabric, single sided, flag, pole, spike and bag), and the printed flag alone at $133 for 1 (2.4m Small, lightweight fabric, single sided). The price shown is the total you pay: we are not registered for GST, so none is added.

The coast is a good place for a flag that moves, and a hard place for one that is left out. Onshore winds often pick up in the afternoon and summer brings storm bursts, so set the flag up each morning, bring it in at night and take it down when severe weather is forecast. Salt air and sun both age fabric, so pack the flag away dry between uses. The spike goes into lawn, garden beds and sand, which suits beach and park events, but not a paved forecourt or concrete driveway, and we do not sell a cross base or water bag. Agents running several open homes on a Saturday can read our open home sign checklist, and stallholders our market stall setup guide.

Flags are dispatched 3 business days after you approve the artwork, and delivery to the Sunshine Coast is estimated at 2–4 business days after dispatch. Delivery is priced by size, quantity and postcode, shown in the basket before you pay. Courier delivery covers Caloundra, Pelican Waters, Kawana, Mooloolaba, Maroochydore, Coolum, Noosa Heads, Tewantin, Nambour and the hinterland; rural and hinterland addresses may take longer. Nothing is available for local pickup.

Who orders Feather Flags in Sunshine Coast

Real estate agencies mark open homes and display homes, often at several sites each weekend. Surf lifesaving clubs, running and triathlon events, and schools mark registration, sponsor and finish areas. Market stallholders and food vans flag their spot, and car yards, cafes and retail shops on the main roads use flags for daily visibility.

Sunshine Coast events & seasonal calendar

  • Spring and autumn property seasons: agents run open homes most weekends
  • Summer holidays (December and January): beachfront events and holiday trade; watch for afternoon storms
  • Surf lifesaving season (roughly September to April): carnivals and club events
  • Sunshine Coast Marathon (winter; check the organiser's current dates): sponsors and charities mark their areas
  • Weekly markets: stallholders use flags year round
Note:

Local signage rules

Sunshine Coast Council and Noosa Shire Council regulate advertising devices on footpaths, road reserves, parks and beaches, and flags on public land generally need approval or an event permit. Real estate flags and signs may have their own conditions. Flags on private property are simpler, but keep them off the footpath. Market and event organisers add their own rules, so check before you set up.

Sunshine Coast FAQs

Can I use a feather flag on the beach?

The spike suits sand, so it works for beach events, but beaches are public land, so you usually need the event organiser's or the council's permission. Bring the flag in when the wind strengthens.

Which height suits an open home street front?

Small (2400mm) or medium (3450mm) usually suits a residential street with footpaths and driveways. The large (4700mm) flag is better on open grounds and car yards.

Does salt air damage the flag?

Salt and sun both age fabric over time. Packing the flag away dry and out of the weather between uses keeps it looking better for longer, and a spare flag-only print lets you refresh a faded one on the same pole.

Does the spike work on a concrete driveway?

No. The spike only goes into soft ground such as lawn, garden beds or sand. Concrete and pavers need a cross base or water bag, which are not part of our range.

How much are feather flags on the Sunshine Coast, and is GST added?

Prices start at $172 for 1 (2.4m Small, lightweight fabric, single sided, flag, pole, spike and bag), or $133 for 1 (2.4m Small, lightweight fabric, single sided) if you already have a pole. The price shown is the total you pay. Medium and large flags, silverback fabric and two-sided printing cost more, and the price panel shows each live price.

How long do feather flags take to reach the Sunshine Coast?

Dispatch is 3 business days after approval, then delivery to the Sunshine Coast is estimated at 2–4 business days. Delivery is priced by size, quantity and postcode and shown in your basket before you pay.
